This project is a possible design for the east bank of Portland if the I-5 were to be moved underground. The building is designed to house metal artisans’ work, selling and living space. A sculpture garden was designed to further develop Portland’s art scene and to allow these artisans to display their works. The varying terrain was designed to hide the sculptures thus adding the element of surprise as visitors walked through the space.
Left, Drawing lines between circulation nodes allowed for the creation of the highlighted paved pathways for the sculpture park. Right, Plan for sculpture park.
